Donate, Reuse or Recycle
We understand that there may come a time where you might be considering disposing of your Elizabeth Parker accessories. Perhaps, your style has changed and pieces you have previously bought no longer suit your formal wear or you might want to reduce the number of items in your home – these are all valid reasons to remove unwanted items from your possession. We would urge you however, to think about how you are going to get rid of them, the first instinct might be to simply throw them away. Here at Elizabeth Parker, we adopt the Donate, Reuse or Recycle notion to aid our responsibility to be more sustainable. Some examples of how we adopt this is:DONATE: We have been known to donate pieces that have not passed our robust quality control to charity shops.
REUSE: we had a surplus of cuff knot elastic that we now use as an element of our Gift Wrapping.
RECYCLE: We try where we can, to reuse packaging that comes into the warehouse and where this isn’t possible it is recycled.

If you really can’t or don’t want to wear them, why not donate them to a charity shop or better still a charity that takes formal wear donations to help people feel and look great for job interviews that can’t otherwise afford a suit and accessories. There might also be a local school that will take donations to give to students for proms or balls.
Ask yourself; can your accessories be reused by a friend or family member? Are they suitable to go into a dressing up box for children at home or at a nursery (please do think about their age and ensure that they do not pose as a choking hazard). If you have worn your accessories for a sentimental event, you could consider framing them in a box frame and displaying them on the wall – so you can still look at them and call on those special memories.
